We have a few open slots for the Tellico Elementary School Voluntary Pre-K Program! If you would like to apply for this program, please fill out the Pre-K application and the  income eligibility form below.
You may drop it off at Tellico Elementary School,  ATTN: Jan Mathews, or you can email it to Ms. Mathews at [email protected]

Voluntary Pre-K Applicants will need to bring the following information when applying for the VPK Program:
  • Print off the on-line Voluntary Pre-K Application and the Income Eligibility Form.  You may have these forms already filled out or you may pick them up at the school, on the day of the event, and fill them out.
  • Copy of the Official Birth Certificate (not the mother's copy)
  • Copy of the Shot/Physical Record (for a 4 year old child)
  • Proof of Income (copy of income tax, check stub, etc.)
  • Proof on Address (light bill, phone bill, any official document with address listed)- (No PO Box numbers)
  • Social Security card (optional)
  • Legal Custody Papers
Voluntary Pre-K Students are selected by an income-based criteria that is set by the State of Tennessee.  Meeting income eligibility requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the VPK Program due to limited space and the possibility of more students applying than seats available.
Monroe County Schools also offers a Blended Preschool Class that is located at Madisonville Primary School. Within this class there are a limited number of slots for non-disabled 4 year old peers. This program is not income-based.  We are accepting on-line applications for this program. (no paper copies will be accepted)  Submitting an application does not gurarantee acceptance into the Blended Preschool Classroom. You may find the Blended Pre-K  Application on the Exceptional Ed. tab at www.monroe.k12.tn.us .  Click on Exceptional Ed. Preschool Services on the right-hand side of the page.
