Links for Parents

Jane Hull once said, "At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents."  However, in today's fast-changing world trying to ensure your child's educational success can itself be overwhelming.  The acronyms and terms are unfamiliar, and finding strategies and resources to help your child can be exhausting.  This site can hopefully reduce some of that stress.   Resources, explanations, and other helpful links can be found under the "Parents" tab.

What is RTI²?
Response to Instruction and Intervention, or RTI², is a teaching system that uses data to identify students' specific needs and match those needs with appropriate instructional strategies.  At all of our schools, RTI² is scheduled into the day.  Whether it's Power Hour, Seminar, or Walk to Learn Time, every student receives extra instruction based on what student data shows us that each child needs.  Please reference the RTI² Brochure above and feel free to contact your child's school if you have questions.
Resources to Help Your Child Be Successful in School
Parent's Guides to Student Success:  These grade-level guides were released by The National PTA and outline what your child should be learning at each grade level.  They also offer tips for talking to teachers and ways to help at home.
