Monroe County Schools App Overview
The Monroe County Schools app is our hub for all communications throughout the district. The MCS App allows you to keep up with school & district news and events, it gives you a quick and easy way to communicate with your school & your students' teachers, and more!
How do I sign up for the app?
Before you can sign up for the app, you must first link your parent email to your student's account in Skyward. To do so, use the Parent Information Update Forms link below. This is important to confirm that you are the parent of the student, and therefore should have access to all information within the app.
How do I log into the app?
Once you've linked your account with your school, then you just need to click the "Reset Password" option on the app's login screen to create your password. Once you've done that, check your email, and follow the instructions to create your password. Afterwards, you can log into the MCS App with your personalized parent account, using your email and the password you just created!

Using the app, you can find a variety of information about a school with just a few taps, such as cafeteria menus, directions, staff directories, phone numbers, and more.

Discover news & events!
See all upcoming news and events in one location! The newsfeed contains all news about a particular school, or the district, all in one place. No matter where the news is posted, whether it's on the website or a social media platform (such as Facebook), all news will appear in the app's newsfeed.
You can also receive push notifications and alerts for the events and news that YOU want to see! Customize your preferences to your liking, so you don't miss a thing.
Our events page is updated with all county and school events, so you can always keep track of all the important events.chools.
Customized for every school!
In addition to the district app, each school has its own "app" within the app. If you have multiple students that go to multiple schools, you can have one page for each school. Every school in the district offers something unique and different, and every school's page will be customized to best fit what their community needs.
Communication is key!
The app provides multiple methods of communication between parents and teachers. One feature, called "Chats", allows parents and teachers to communicate via direct message from within the app.
If a school's app page does not have the Chats feature enabled, the app might also have links to ClassDojo and Remind, which some schools might use instead. No matter what, the app will have links and information regarding their preferred method of communication!
Lists and resources for everything you need to start the school year!
The app is your one-stop shop for getting ready for school! You can find all the information about what your student needs and how to get it. We partner with TeacherLists to provide an easy, clickable, shoppable supply list inside the app for the upcoming school year. We also have a comprehensive Chromebook Program section in the app to give you all the information and links you need to skip the lines at the annual Chromebook rollout!
How do I download it?
The app can be downloaded on the Google Play Store for Android Phones, or the App Store on iPhones and iPads. Click the appropriate button below to be taken to the app's page for your preferred platform.
