Description
Our goal is to To help maintain the equipment and buildings in a condition of operating excellence so that full use of them may be made at all times.
Qualifications:
Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
At least 3-5 years of commercial building maintenance experience. (School Maintenance preferred but not required).
Understand and read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Basic understanding of Electrical codes per the NEC codebook.
Ability to properly use and understand a Multimeter.
High School diploma or GED
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director of Maintenance may find appropriate and acceptable can be used.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests from various departments in a timely manner
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and document maintenance activities
- Fabricate and install new equipment or components as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and address them proactively
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders by addressing their maintenance needs promptly and professionally
Experience:
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial and or school setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Proficient in using CMMS software for tracking and documenting maintenance activities
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a maintenance environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
