Tellico Plains Elementary School is proud of the high quality of our teaching staff.  There are many reasons that teachers would want to seek a position at TPES.

* Our school has a professional  and supportive staff.  The atmosphere at our school is warm, friendly, and safe.

* Our school is equipped with the latest technology.  We are equipped with an excellent computer lab, classroom computers, projectors, laptops, SmartBoards, Promethian Boards, and are adding document cameras to some of our classrooms.   We work very hard to stay updated and current in educational technology and training. This helps our teachers stay excited about teaching and our students stay excited about learning..

*  TPES has an outstanding Parent/Teacher Organization. The TPES PTO supports our school financially to help meet classroom needs, as well as with Parent Volunteers to support many of our school activities and programs. 

*Teachers have planning times each week while their class participates in Music, Art, Library, and Physical Education.

*  We have a beautiful school building in a beautiful area.  We are located in a  rural setting at the foothills of the Cherokee National Forest.  The nearby mountains and lakes offer many great activities for families.

*Teachers have the support and help of Title 1 Teaching Assistants, a Title 1 Reading Teacher, General Purpose Aides, Full time Media Specialist , Teacher Resource Center,as well as many other helpful resources.
