Tellico Plains Elementary School is committed to providing a quality education in a positive environment.  It is our goal that each student reach their potential for intellectual and personal growth.

We believe that:

This compact outlines how the staff, students, and parents/guardians agree to share the responsibility for student achievement and success.

Complete agenda and take home each day to be signed.

Complete all assignments on time, using my best effort.

Respect and cooperate with other students and adults.

Follow all school rules.

Ask for help when I need it.

 Make sure my child is at school on time, well rested, with proper supplies.

Maintain regular communication with my child’s teacher on his/her progress.

Check my child’s agenda each night, sign it, and return daily. I will also check for other information sent home.

Review my child’s homework and encourage them to read daily.

Encourage my child to follow school rules and to resolve conflicts appropriately.

Limit TV viewing and video games, and encourage physical exercise.

Treat school staff with respect and dignity.

 Volunteer at school if desired

 Create a safe and nurturing environment.

Provide high quality curriculum and instruction that meets the states student academic achievement standards.

Maintain clear and regular communication with my students and their parents.

Keep parents and students informed on the student’s progress.

Have high expectations for my students academically and socially.

Treat everyone with respect.

Determine each child’s educational needs to help them grow to their full potential.
