Library Mission

The mission of the Madisonville Middle School Media Center is to nurture in students a love of books and reading. The media center provides access to customary and multimedia resources in a positive environment to support the learning curriculum as well as to teach its users how to effectively use ideas and information.

 New online library accounts

I am in the process of assigning all students and faculty individualized accounts to access the School Library Catalog. Your personal account lets you keep track of what you have checked out, reserve items, or rate and review items to share your opinions about items you've read. For more information, see Ms. Moser.

Circulation Policy

1. Each student may check out two books at a time for up to two weeks.

2. A student may renew a book for another two weeks if the book has not been requested by another person.

3. There are no fines for overdue materials.

4. Students may not check out materials if they have not returned overdue books.

5. Reference books may not be checked out by students. They remain in the media center for everyone to use.

             Library Rules

Computers are here for you to write or do research for school projects. Playing non educational games on the computers and chatting in chat rooms

is a violation of the Computer Use-Student Agreement you signed.

Please whisper. Other people have the right to quiet so they can think.

Follow directions the first time they are given.

Keep hands, feet, objects, and negative comments to yourself.

No food, drink or gum in the library.

Clean up after yourself and push in your chair when you leave.

No more than 4 students per table. More than that generates noise and leaves no room for anyone to work.
