Monroe County Schools

First day of Class – August 7, 2009 – 10:00 a.m. dismissal with teachers working all day

Last day of class - May 25, 2010 - Students will be dismissed at 10:00 a.m.

 

STATE REQUIRED INSERVICE TRAINING DAYS – 5

School-Based Professional Development - August 5, 2009                                         

ETEA (or optional approved day) - October 30, 2008

3 Days - Principal Discretion

BOARD DESIGNATED ADMINISTRATIVE DAYS  - 4

Administrative Days (school based in-service) - August 4 and 6, 2009

1 day to close school - May 24, 2010

Parent Conference - 1 Day

Labor Day (1 day) - September 7, 2009

Fall Break (5 days) - October 5-9, 2008

Thanksgiving (3 days) - November 25-27, 2008

Winter Break (10 days) - December 18, 2008 @ 10:00 a.m. through January 3, 2010 (inclusive).  Students return on January 5, 2010

Martin Luther King Day (1 day) - January 18, 2010

Presidents’ Day (1 day) - February 15, 2010

Spring Break (5 days) - March 29-April 2, 2010

January 4, 2010 - (May be used for make-up snow day if more that 9 days are missed.)

February 12, 2010 - (May be used for make-up snow day if more than 9 days are missed.)

April 23, 2010 - (May be used for make-up snow day if more than 9 days are missed.)
