Madisonville Kiwanis Club Terrific Kids

1st 9 Weeks Period 2017

Madisonville Intermediate School selects two students from each class every grading period (9 weeks) as a Madisonville Kiwanis Club Terrific Kids student based on specific character traits for that period. The Madisonville Kiwanis Club sponsors the Terrific Kids Program which is a student-recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem and perseverance. "Terrific" is an acronym for Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive, and Capable.

 

For the first 9 weeks grading period, the character traits were Thoughtful & Enthusiastic.

 

Following is a list of students who most exhibited the character trait of being thoughtful for the first 9 weeks grading period and were selected as a representative for their class, in order of grade level:   3rd Grade: Lily Witt, Henry Tate, Dametric Smith, Addisen Brinkley, Nerina Persico, Leland Keller, Peyton Bryson, Nolan Faith and Tanner Ivens.  4th Grade: Laurin Walker, Alex White, Thomas Hernandez, Adison Millsaps, Braden Graham, Isiah Smallwood, Miles Watson, and Aidan Buckaloo.  5th Grade: Chris Dalton, Lydia McDaniel, Mabel Cruz EuFragio, Caleb Lane, Luke Cournoyer, Hailey Frank, Shannon McMahon, and Tierra James.

 

Following is a list of students who most exhibited the character trait of being enthusiastic for the first 9 weeks grading period and were selected as a representative for their class, in order of grade level:   3rd Grade: Dax Cole, Millie Chenevare, Ava Hampton, Nathan Minic, Amelia Davis, Colton Hodge, Jenna Harrill, and Addison McConkey.  4th Grade: Kali Compton, Dalton Johannsen, Magavin Palmer, Caraline Lopez, Keona Garren, Grayson Winder, Neveah Back, Chloe Harrill and Marly Lynn. 5th Grade: Braydun Xenos, Karina Bystry, Connor Atkins, Dallas Tallent, Sarah Davis, Brody Deakin, Jake Ledford, and Katara Bivens.

 

Jenna Harrill from Mrs. Dana Mills' 3rd grade class and Grayson Winder from Mrs. Russell's 4th grade class were the winners of the drawings for $25 Walmart gift cards donated by Madisonville Intermediate School.  Perry Hull, P.E. teacher, and Leslie Moses, 5th grade teacher, were honored as Teachers of the 1st 9 Weeks Period. Employees selected to be honored for the period were Jonathan Peels, custodian, and Debbie Mizer, special education teacher.
